Worth it to take b16 out of CRX in 92/95 hatch?
Yeah, I totaled My CRX and i was wondering.
Is it Worth it to get a civic Hatch 92/95 Shell and transfer the b16 over? Or should i just get another CRX?
How hard will this be if I did get a hatch? what parts will i need to get.
What are your thoughts...what would you do? I just need some advice right now.
Thanks

It would probably be cheaper to get another EF chassis and swap what you already have, B-series wise, over. If you go with an EG, you'll have to buy a hydro transmission...or you can stick with the cable trans and do with a Hasport tranny kit (but I personally think thats a ghetto route, hydro tranny ownz joo). And you'll have to do some other OBD1 converting on your non-OBD B16 engine...that can add up and burn a hole in yer wallet.

Plus if you are on a budget and it sounds like you are owning a crx(No problem whats so ever with that)
You Should Consider This:
1.) Budget: If your on a budget, the crx is cheaper and since you wrecked it and assuming you have insurance(full coverage), you will only get enough to buy another rex.
2.) Know How: If you already did this swap into the crx, than you already know what to do
3.) Money: You will be spending extra to get a Hasport for the cable or switching to hydro either way
4.) Weight: If you can live with how small the rex is, then it benefits you alot. The lighter chasis will be close in comparison to a gsr in a eh hatch.
Just my 2 cents.........Hope it works out for the best

Definitely stick with an EF chassis for your first gen B16A. The OBD0 electronics, cable tranny, shift linkage and motor mounts are not directly compatible with the EG chassis.
