Not that this helps, but I thought it applies since you don't have a car yet.
Put it in a coupe.

Re: wonderin bout itr swap??? (DarkKnight[DMD])
If your using a USDM ITR swap, the new engine harness will plug right into your stock main harness. There will be a few extra OBD2 plugs that won't go anywere, so you'll have to cover them and tuck them out of the way. You will also need your ECU reprogramed for the type r motor, but I think the GSR ECU will always throw a code cause the ITR engine doesn't have secondary intake runners (not for sure). If it does, my advice would be to sell your GSR ECU and get a rechiped OBD1 P28 (no secondary runners or knock sensor). If you try to use an OBD2 ITR ECU it will throw codes cause you don't have all the OBD2 sensors pluged into your harness. Then you will have to wire all those in, plus buy an OBD1-OBD2 conversion plug (waste of time and money only good for california smog).
On the other hand, if your using a JDM swap, you will need to buy a USDM obd2 engine harness, and then your back to the same choices above, except you will have to add the vtec pressure switch to your JDM motor to use any USDM ECU (since there built into the JDM ECU). Also if you want to use the JDM ECU, you will need that OBD1-OBD2 coonversion plug, and then probably hook up whatever unpluged sensors you have.
Also, I got all this information in the archive search, so try searching first next time... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=683725

The obd2 engine will go right in...if its a JDM engine...you will have to change the vtec soleniod to a US one. and use a GSR, ITR obd2 engine harness. everything is plug and play...as far as the ecu it will run perfectly but thats not the ecu that you want to run with your ITR motor...best bet is to get a P28 chipped to a ITR program...

Re:
it's a usdm itr. we plug in the harness but one plug on the engine harness didnt fit the main harness. four plugs total, we got three of the plugs to fit but the forth one is a different plug type. do we just leave it out?
