Default Wiring:OBD2 B18C1 to OBD0 harness, how?

I have a 97 B18C1 motor which I will be swapping into my 91 CRX. I have a complete 91 SI harness, along with B16a distributor and fuel injectors, and OBD0 Zdyne GSR converted PM6 ecu.

As far as wiring up the motor to the SI harness, what needs to be done? I am assuming hte SI plugs won't plug into the GSR motor's plugs. Do I have to but the plugs from the GSR's wiring harness and then connect them to the SI harness (so they will connect)? If anyone has a B18C1/5 hooked up to their CRX, do you have any pics/explanation of what you did? I will be doing the swap in 6 days, so I need info asap. Thanks.

damn, now I hear from someone that the 88 CRX SI harness is different than the 90-91 CRX SI harness? I tried plugging the OBD0 plugs into the B18C1's OBD2 connectors, but they won't fit. Please I need help asap!

someone has got to know

Ok. 90-91 engine Si harness is the same. The 88 and 89 are all different. Just use your Si engine harness and add the Vtec wires. You will not be able to run the gsr ecu unless you get a conversion harness. You will need to use the vtec plugs off of the gsr harness. What are you doing for a tranny? Injectors, Distributor?

Ok, here is what I am using:

B16a distributor and fuel injectors (OBD0) and the Zdyne GSR conversion ecu (PM6) which is programmed to run like a stock P72 ecu. It recognizes the IAB sensor and dual butterfly intake. Here is a link to its description, scroll down the page a bit and look for the GSR 2-wire conversion http://www.hasport.com/ECU_Upgrades.htm

I unplugged the 97 B18C1's wiring harness today and tried plugging my spare 88 CRX SI harness into the connections, but they will not fit. I have been told by several people that the 90-91 harness has the same plugs that will plug into the motor. Unfortunately, my 91 CRX is a DX and I will have to do the MPFI first. I thought I could just use the 88 SI harness on the GSR motor!

This is very frustrating to find out about 6 days before the planned swap. And of course (with my lucK), I can't seem to find the injector resistor box that I had. Great.

I am using a JDM S1 tranny. If anyone can get me an injector resistor box I need one ASAP.

Thanks blownhatch for the help, I know that you are a valued member on this board and I will appreciate any info you can give me.

I have the resistor box...20+shipping.

I can do your MPFI conversion for 100 + shipping + harnesses. Or go to the EF forum and do a search for the DPFI to MPFI conversion. Then just keep your stock dx harness, convert it to MPFI and add the appropriate sensors to that harness. Just take the plugs off of the Si and GSR harness. LEt me know if I can help any more.

Jason

buy the obd-1 to obd-0 conversion, and pick up yourself a obd-1 gsr ecu. You can use that to run the newer motors. Im using a obd-1 ecu on my 99 gsr motor, runs good. And you can modify more stuff using obd-1
