Re: Wiring IAB for B18C1 swap for cdn eg si? (Steady)
Basicaly it is just a switched power and ground. You can either hook up the (+) wire to accessory, and the (-) to a chassis ground, so it will open the butterflies when you turn on the car, or you can wire them to the ecu like it is suppose to be.
If you do that you will have to run the (-) wire to the pinout on the ecu ((-) wire is the controll wire) that controls the IAB ( on a OBD 1 H22 it is pin # A17 the pink wire on the plug at the IAB), and you can just simply connect the (+) wire (Blk/ye on H22 to any accessory wire (+ when the key is all on).
Hope this helped!!

i read the c-speed site.
i must be focking retarded
i keep reading it but i still don't get it.
it says switch a20 with a17 on the ecu side. but then what is a20 from?

Re: Wiring IAB for B18C1 swap for cdn eg si? (Steady)
i'm also doing a b18c into eg si this weekend. Only, its a jdm motor. I was told that the jdm p72 ecu was different than the usdm one in regards to the IAB...is this true?
I know that w/ the Si all you have to do if you're using a usdm ecu is add the knock sensor wire then swap the A17 wire to the A20 pin for the IAB. Is it the same for the jdm p72 ecu? What I heard was that the polarity was different.
If the jdm ecu does need to be wired differently could someone please point me in the right direction?
thanks

what i don't get is if a20 is for evap purge then doesn't the secondaries activate when the evap purge is supposed to?
is the IAB ground side or power side switching?

so is it really just that easy as switching two pins on the ecu side?
what wire on the engine harness side is the KS?
