Wiring B series swap Ef sedan (noob question)s
I have a b18 ls motor i am planning on swapping into a ef sedan. I can get the motor with the ecu and harness (the tranny is a automatic) So that means as well is the ecu. I plan on finding a GSR transmission to bolt up to the ls motor. I plan on going turbo so i think i might need the manual ecu to chip.
1. Should i go ahead and take the harness, but grab a b series manual ecu and replace the original harness with the b-series one or is that even possible?
2. Should i just grab a b18 manual ecu and wire it up to the original harness in the civic despite i would have to wire up for two more injectors because it is dpmfi?
Just let me know of any suggestions and advice thx i appreciate it

It's common practice to use the original EF harness and modify it to fit the engine you choose.

cool, so i just hack the b series ecu plugs and fit them to the original harness, and plug into my manual b-series ecu, does this sound right?

do you have mpfi or dpfi?
if you have mpfi just put your stock on the motor
you dont have to cut or rewire anything
now if you have dpfi you will need a si,ex or hf motor harness and run some wire to the ecu

What you want is an OBD0 to OBD1 jumper harness. You will have to do a DX to SI conversion as well.

ah well, i just found out the guy i was buying the motor from sold his head, im just going to fix the civic and sell it. This way i build the lsvtec and find something later on with a bad motor, like a 92-95 civic. My plan was just to swap in as is and then head swap when i could afford it. But now i have a short block for 50 bucks. I will just build it.
