Why are GSR O2 sensors so expensive $160 from PEP boys. My old dx engine.....
Did more investigating........
Went to Autozone and asked for a 95' GSR 02 sensor. Dude gave me a price of $160. (same as PEP boys). But then offers a "generic" 4 wire sensor at less than half the price. ($70) but will have to splice and solder the wire to the O2 plug wires. Bosch part number 15730.
Out of curiosity, I asked the same for a 92 DX engine. It turns out $45 for an OEM and $70 for a generic O2 (part number 15730). same part number for the generic O2 but different part number for the DX "OEM" and Acura GSR "OEM".
BUT Same part number for the univesal O2 sensor????
WTF! Are this auto companies just messing around with the prices for the same product??
Any input would be appreciated.

Use any OEM honda 4 wire heated O2 sensor!! They are all the same!! If you have to change the plug from male to female, make sure you put all the wires in the correct locations on the plug as on the original!! the 2 black wires are different, and are not just both grounds, so don't mix them up!!
