why does my car surge?
i had a '89 civic hb, with a b18b ls motor in it. there are no codes in the computer, however the car starts hunting at idle when it warms up. there are no mods on the motor and i'm running a '91 integra computer. does anyone know what the problem is and/or what to do??

Either 1)Idle Air Control Valve has gone bad, if it has it will surge until the car warms up and then stop surging....
or
2)There is a vaccuum leak.

if you open the fast idle control valve up there is something in there that you can turn, i turned it in all the way and then backed it off 360 degrees. and there is definitely no vacuum leaks, already checked. also it only happens when is hot...TIA
thank you

If you are able to turn the idle screw, and no changes take place, it could also be the black cylinder on the back of the intake manifold, i cant remember what its called, but check to see if its plugged in. If it is, unplug it, that could be bad.....
