Where is the thermo switch on first gen B16a???

Where is the thermo switch on first gen B16a???
just curious becuase i have a spoon switch i wanna put in.
I assumed it would be on the thermostat housing like my B16a2, but i was wrong.

thermo switch equal fan switch right? It's on the back of the block above the oil filter to the left it's 2 pin deal

I think your confused.... i thought what your describing is the knock sensor
