Yeah, i'm interested to know as well. I'm thinking seriously about this. hmotorsonline (formerly hondamotorsonline.com) has a long block with transmission and ECU for $2400, and I'm beginning to think it's a good investment, but I want to know what else I'm going to be down, cash wise, with a swap from a 96 Civic DX.

plan on haveing around 4000$ before thinking about this swap.

You're also going to need more than the longblock setup from HMO. The longblock doesn't come with the shifter assembly and all that good mess. The only thing that comes with the 'changeover' that you won't use is the axles. My 'changeover' was $2700 shipped. Then you need a mount kit- $350-500 depending on what kit you get, and then you need to do something about axles..that's another 300-500 or so. This is just the very basics though..so look to spend more.

Complete motor and hydro tranny,ecu(P13),axles,shifter cable, stock motor mounts, engine harness and all sensors

So, it comes with motor mounts. I'm guessing they're not going to fit. I'm searching the archives, too.

Dont forget the extra 80 pounds the H22 is than other B-series motors. You'd have to beef up your suspension and brakes(not needed but reccommended) because of an extreme swap like this.

The axles it comes with as well as the mounts are completely and utterly useless when swapping into a Civic.

Hasport and HCP make great mount kits. DSS makes good axles.

Dude, it's really only about 60lbs heavier...not too much more than if you were to slap a turbo system on a B series

But yes, upgrade your brakes and suspension. If you can't factor that into your swap costs, don't buy the engine
