You should ask this in the Hybrid forum.
ANY swap fails because of lack of planning, failure to research and cheaping out and cutting corners. Heck, people can't even seem to do a simple brake job on these forums.

The H22 swap is not uncommon. It's been done to death so I really don't see why you should have a problem. I've seen complete parts lists and build threads on it that anyone can follow. If you can do H2b go that route.

Just do your research. H22A4 have FRM cylinder sleeves...you need to either get press-in liners or resleeve the motor in order to run most aftermarket pistons. Mahle made a piston that works but reviews are iffy.
Also, FRM = burns oil more often than other Honda motors. H22's with auto tensioners tend to fail and bend valves, keep that in mind when doing a swap - it's much easier to convert to manual tensioner when the motor is out of the car.

For the money, I'd rather build a Vitara D-series and turbo it. But if you're stuck on H22, there's no way of getting over 300whp reliable without spending thousands.
