I was planning to buy a GSR engine but if I can get a Type R for a couple hundred more I might try for a Type R. Anyways I have seen people selling complete Type R swaps for under $4000 before and was wondering if anyone knows where I can buy one for that price right now. I emailed some person from Arizona that posted an ad on the partstrader but he hasn't emailed me back. I have the money available as soon as I find a person selling one. I've looked around but came up with nothing. Help

i would not trust n e one sellng an r motor for 4k...u pay for what u get i think..most r motors are around 5 - 6k the best place to get any b series motor with ALL parts and great service is http://www.hondamotorsonline.com ...give them a holla...but an r motor is gonna b like $5100 from them...but it comes with everything..if u wanna get the gr motor is gonna be like $3800 with everything...but y get a gsr motor when u know that u r gonna mod it..and in the long run its easer to buy the ITR and not have to get poo poo like a new TB, intake manifold and lil stuff like that...plus its has more HP...u figure out what u wanna do and what its gonna cost u in te long run.go for the ITR!!

Another option is to gather the pieces. I saw a full c5 shortblock for $1,500 the other day (just make sure you check those VIN's!), then a full b16 head for $400. Obvioulsy you will need more than that to make it work, but if you take you time you will probably end up spending way less, and you'll have a motor that you know everything about, instead of installing a some unknown POS that might have had a turbo and NOS.

I found an ad in thepartstrader not too long ago with a person selling a Type R motor swap complete for $3400 shipped. What do you guys think about it? I talked with the person and he says that the engine runs and everything. The engine came out of his car that got totaled from behind. You guys think this is legit? Help your answer will determine if I buy it or not. Any quiestions or comments...

a friend of mine just bought a trashed 2000 itr with 9k in ny for about $7000. not bad for seats, motor, 5 lug, ect.......
