yea thats what i figured. thanks. what all do u have to do to swap a 2nd gen jdm b16a into a 93 civic coupe DX(non vtec)? i heard u had to customize the wiring harness? other than that is it pretty much a straight swap, or is there more wiring an stuff u need to do?

bolt in.

for jdm b16a, you need to convert your dx harness and add vtec and knock sensor..

that's it.

cake swap (about a day's worth of working)

axles require removing two nuts on the suspension (on either side). the castle nut on the bottom of the rotor and the lower-ball-joint/tierod nut. bust the balljoint loose and the rotor will swing loose, allowing you to take the tensioning ring out of the tranny to release the axle. remove the hub-nut on the rotor and pull the old axle out. installation is the reverse.

remember to get em on the correct sides and not to strain the boots!

whats it take to add vtec an knock sensor...? i just talked to a guy today about dropping it in, an it sounds like the wiring harness an a bunch of that stuff isnt gonna hook up correctly without customizing. he also said some stuff about gettin new distributors an new fuel injectors..im kinda lost, from what u guys told me, this should be a fairly easy swap? sorry to keep bringing this post back.

just add the wires from the vtec solenoid, oil pressure and the knock sensor and wire it directly to the ECU pin-outs.

If you want more detail on the pin-outs, let me know, as I don't know the VTEC ones off hand but I have the referances at my house. I know the Knock sensor is D3 though.
