Default whats beating on ur motor??

i hear people talkin about revin past 8k is beating. if u only rev to 8k when u race and u only race at max 5 times a month for a year!! is that beating??. i mean i want to build an ls vtec, but people saY i need a block girlde! do i need one if i dont rev past 8k....daily drivin i shift at 3k...I DONT want to to have to rebuild a new motor in 12 months!

I will tell you this.. When you start to modify motors, and you race them, you start to rev them more. After a while you will get a taced motor to start going bad. RPM = " ruins peoples motors". Drive your car nomally and race it when you have to. You will only need to beef the motor up if you are one of those idiots who does not like to shift out of first gear. Chnaces are though, if you race your motor, and you have it for a long time, you will eventually need to rebuild
