get a 99-00 Si starter.

I've tried a DelSol and it doesn't work. B16c's are wrong too. Any idea what fits them?

If you are using a Japanese Flywheel, I would recommend a JDM starter, or else you will get grinds at startup.

That whole myth is such a lie about a JDM startert and JDM f.wheels. Its not true at all with stock f.wheels & starters.

really? I have usdm and jdm starts in my garage, both from gen 1 b16s and the teeth are different. Only the jdm one will fit any aftermarket flywheel I have had my hands on.

You didn't specify aftermarket flywheel orginally. I know a few people who have starting problems with their Jun flywheels....but using a JDM or US starter didn't fix the problem. The myth still remains to be BS.

fair enough, it probably got started when someone jacked up a usdm starter and replaced it with a jdm one and attributed the fix to it being jdm rather than simply functional.
