what oil weight for an lsvtec swap??
I just bought an integra with an lsvtec swap and the seller told me to use 20w 50 on it for some reason. I always used 5w 30 on my b16 and was wondering why this guy told me to use a heavier weight??? any ideas?? should I stick to 5w30 or what oil should i use???

if it has stock internals, i'd stick with 5w30, because it's what's recommended for gs-r's and ls's. i have no idea what you should use if it has aftermarket internals.

i believe 10w30 is fine as long as where you live doesn't get colder than below 20 degrees. i've used 10w30 since i've gotten my car (about 2 and a half years) and have had no problems. any weight besides 5w30 and 10w30 is beyond my knowledge though.

well I am going to try out 5w 30 to see how that works out but i remember the seller telling me something about it being ported and polished and that is why the guy that built the motor told him to stick with 20w 50??

20 50 IS WAY TO THICK, YOUR OIL JOURNALS ARE DESIGHNED FOR 5-30 UNLESS YOU LIVE IS HIGH TEMPS. THEN MAX 10 40, THE 20 50 COULD STARVE YOUR ENGONE OF OIL.
