Default what engine is stonger and last longer and bang for the buck

hi names jon im tryin to get a feel on what motor should i put in when i get my civic it goin to be a 89- 95 hatch or coupe i donno yeat but i waould like to put a super charger or turbo on it i just dont know what motor will stnad up to it . i was lookin at the b20b long block acura gsr motor the 95 oneand just a v-tec any help will do

Back to the question, i could be way off but it sounds like you don't know too much. Just hang around the site for awhile and you'll learn more than enough to make a decison.

thnax yeah some times i type to fast .... this is what i ment to say

hi names jon in a few weeks i'll be getting a civic hatch or coupe i donno yeat but im going to do a engine swap if i dont like the motor. I was thinking of going with a b20b or a gsr with turbo and i going to do all my engine work. i just dont know what engine can i push about 300hp out of.. i seen a civic hatch 93 wit 445 hp and it was street leagal so if some one can help me out that would be great.. i dont need to go blowin up engines ona day by day bases... um the motor looks like this its out of a 93 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...=5335

yeah i thought i knew alot, and i do work on cars but its mostly all performance work milling porting tweakin wit the comps

Well, if youre looking for big horsepower and you want either the b20b or the gsr(b18c1) then i think i would go with the b20. I say this because to hit that kind of horsepower youre gonna need to replace all the internals and sleeve the block anyways. So it's not worth it to buy the GSR. Anyone else have an opinion?

um thanx um i was lookin at the b20b do thay have any sites for it or parts cuse all i can find so far is gsr and v-tec/b18b/c and the other motors... this is were i was goin to get it from

kool your jets man im just trying to figure things out an im 17 and have the money to spend srry im up setting people.... just a thought take a s2000 engine and drivetrain and costom fit in to a civic hatch back becuse of it light wight it would be pertty good yes??

HAHA, sorry man, you dont have that much money. If you got the money, just put a B18c GSR motor in your hatch, or whatever you buy, you will be happy with it. And if you can afford to buy a s2000 motor you can afford to get a b18 type R.... that would be your best bet.

w/o reading the posts....bang for the buck AND reliable daily driver = stock b18c1 with a chipped ecu for outstanding fuel economy

id say h22 but that isnt really cheap to do right, and a b18c5 is also kinda expensive

stronger engine: h22, b18c, b18c5

last long: any honda engine as long as you keep up with the maintenances

bang for the buck: honda CBR 600 F3

no no i wasint going to put the s2000 motor in my hatch i was jus saying can it be done with mods jus for ***** and giggles like the pt cruiser with a 440 hemi in it... and i went to a car show last night an i saw this v/w 1.8 turbo lol and the turbo pipes were soooo small like 2" wide but thay looked smaller i donnoi like v/w but it looked funny.... well my dad owens a gun company so yeah i think i'l have the money since i work for him...

oh yeah didnt someone say the b20b was stongbecause of the block because if i wanted to push like 300hp out of it that would be my best bet never mind it was
