What ecu should I use for a b18b (obd2) into a 98 civic (obd2)?
What ecu (mother board) would be most practical to use when swapping a b18b obd2 into a civic ek, obd2 as well, noting that I will use the stock d16y7 engine harness that comes in my civic after a little rewiring here n there, should I use the ecu already in my car, or should I use another computer. Help appreciated. Graciassss! Ps, car is manual.

It's not easier due to needing another ECU adapter before you can plug it in. What state are you in by the way and do they do emissions testing? It's only "easier" if you A)Live in a state that doesn't require the car to be plugged into an OBD2 scanner for emissions B)Have a JDM engine and need to bypass some sensors the engine doesn't come with (CKF, secondary 02, etc). Just get a 96-98 P75, make the necessary wiring adjustments, and call it a day. Here's a guide for the wiring needed:

I live in Nevada, Next to California lol, very strict laws out here, so i definitely need to pass emmisions, im getting a little side tracked here though, I got a little confused between what the two of you said, So which ecu will pass emmisions? and yes I understand I need a jumper. (so from the looks of it Its hard as hell to pass with an obd2 ecu because of the plug at the smog check, so I should stick to 0bd1, correct?)

It's not easier but easier if you live in a state that doesn't have emissions lol nicely put . He is rite though 96-99 is ob2a in a integra I have that ecu if you need one

To the guy that said its easier to slap a obd1 ecu with a jumper, arite sorry if i keep on askin the same questions, but let me see though why if the motor is all obd2, ewh is set up for obd2, would it be simpler to use an 0bd1 ecu? sorry to me it just sounds a little off cuz of the nature that i would plug in a obd1 ecu, in an obd2, like what is the reason that it wouldnt be easier to just stick obd2 ecu? plus with obd2 i can pass the smog. Im just tryin to pick up on knowledge before I begin my swap, thanks dudes
