Default What ECU to run with B-Series Swap?

what ECU would you run with a B18c5 swap into a 2000 Civic coupe? the previous owner has a JDM Type-R ECU, but he was telling me that he was having some problems with it..not 100% sure what his probs were..but i'd like to find another ECU to go with the motor either a US Type-R or different. What are your opinions?
thanks

which program is the p73? i've tried the searches and looked up ECU Codes and whatnot, but i've only seen ones specific to '95 and older model year cars. I'm not big into wiring and electrical stuff yet, so any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks
