what do you guys think? All motor or turbo on h22EK ???
i am deciding on what i want for the long run.. if i go all motor, i am thinking jun stage 2 or 3 cams and valvetrain, completly built bottom end, and 11-12 compression ratio.. turbo wise i could put the kit on and run 4-6 psi daily, buy another short block and build it for big boost while i am boosting a little for the time being.. not sure what i really want. the turbo intrigues me most, but i like the bragging rights of an all motor car(hehe). give me some opinions.

i would definitely go with the all motor root, im assuming that your already having trouble getting traction on the street and with a turbo h22, oh shat, you wouldnt know what traction is, lol i just like all motor a lot more, good luck though man

yeah, i have to say.. turbo would be more fun, and i would get waaaaaayyy more power out of my h22.. i wonder how much horsepower i could get out of an all motor h22.. 300 whp??

Individual Thottle Bodies
Both would be "cool" on a H22.... either a turbo setup or a good NA setup. My opinion..... would all depend on what type of car, what the car was mostly used for, and what you really wanted out of it (race car, show car, want to show off the turbo, want to be fast but sleeper, etc). But I've driven a 12:1 comp H22 hatchback with Type S cams and all I can say is "like whoa"

I am still deciding if i want to go boost or not. I would have my swap done but i am still saving up for nice clutch just incase of turbo. Is there enough clearance for a turbo in a H22 civic? It seems like a very tight fit considering you need a slim radiator fan etc..

go to google and type in "individual throttle bodies h22" there is a setup that i found that is like 2199.00.. how much power do these add.. i know you have to have all new electronics, ecu etc...

An all motor H22 with ITB's would be sooo cool. Ive thought about this before..why dont people build their h22's for all motor more often. Crazy compression, Jun stage 3 cams, port and polish, ITB's. That would sound sooo crazy.

Not that many parts availabe for the H22, and those that are (and the machine work put into the motors), the cost is more than working on and doing the same to a B-series motor. BTW, ITBs are cool, but not really good for a street driven car, as I've driven a friend's car who has ITBs on his ITR motor in his EG hatch. It was cool when "racing" it on the highways and keeping your foot on the gas, but that fawker was LOUD, even when letting off the gas. Crazy sounding car when it's coming at you .

yeah, ITB's will own. The h22 with JUN 3's and 12.5:1 cr will sound like a firggin 454 v8

As for power that they add, merely depends on what mods you have. Throttle bodies love compression and will rip harder the higher compression you have. But on stock internals, they are usually about 15 across the board with some tuning.

If i had the money to do it i would build the **** outta the H22 for about 15-20 pounds of boost. Make about 450 whp and who gives a **** about traction. I wouldnt if i had that much power. Just run some drag radials everyday and drive around with a boner from spinning every gear.
