it didnt really work out so well...
the motor was stuck to the firewall and the tranny was stuck to the mounts so...
PLAN "B"!
and final result...
we had a hard time takking of the shife linkage off so we left it on.

thats some funny shlt!!!!!!!!!!!
Why didn't you just buy a cherry picker in the first place.
I bought mine five yrs ago and have used it several times.
Its help in others ways, when I took off my tranny I used the jack to help lift the tranny. Three engine swap alreay.
Finally, thats what you get for going cheap.

I got an "el cheapo" on ebay. Around $200 I think, for the picker, a load leveler, engine stand, AND, get this, a cheap set of drill bits.
It was kind of dented, and the paint was all scratched, but it wasn't used. Brand new. Works perfect. (well, 'cept for the bits. they suck )

That pic should be shown to every post that ask "What's this I hear about being able to just make your own engine lift"
Has anyone done a swap without a load leveler (Just straight chain) and then used a load leveler sometime after? How much does a load leveler help?
