i currently have a 92 4 door with a b18c. my exhaust setup is dc sports header, catco cat, and fart tip. 2.5 inch piping with no resonator. i know i should probably just put a resonator on but mienieke said it would cost 250 bucks, **** that. it is really loud and getting very annoying. freeway driving is hell. what should i do to quiet her down. Maybe a stupid idea but.... i was thinking of getting a thrush glasspack muffler from summit. they are only like 18 bucks and it looks like u just cut the pipe and put it in place. it says it quiets it down, but i have no one to back that up. please help!

well screw them, go to another muffler shop and ask how much it would cost to have them install a 12'' resinator,When i had mine installed (when i was n/a) it was like $40 for the resinator and like $20 to put it in..Or you could just go to a rice shop and buy a "high flow cat" (it's really just a resinator) and have it installed.The 2.5'' piping is kind of big also.your best bet is to have another shop do it

Why don't you just buy an exhaust with a resiantor included? If you buy a stainless steel exhaust it will essentially last as long as the car. It's better to do it right first, then having to waste more money doing it right the second time.

tru but i havent had this exhaust very long i want to keep it. i also really cant afford a 500 dollar exhaust.. trying to save up for some volks

First of all I would get rid of the "fart tip."

You've already got a cat and piping, just get a nice muffler and a resonator. Check around online if there aren't any muffler shops in your area. $250 should easily buy you a decent universal muffler and resonator.

how bout a glass plack muffler, its like 28 inches, would that help. im pathetically broke

C1 i know exactly what you talking about go to get a dynomax the cheap one its like 23 bux, and sounds nice i like it better that most other systems, no need for a resinator just lose the fart tip and throw that on....or my buddy have a rice muffler one of those straight threw mufflers rice can, and put one of those cherry bombs, the same thing you are talking about and it worked great, just cut, spend 17bux, weld and go, don't let all everyone tell you all these brands names, a muffler is a damn muffler.

so if u use one of those cherry bombs it will be noticably quieter, the highway i drive to school everyday is gettin very annoying. thanks for the info though
