what clutch should I get with my gsr motor with Ls trans?
I'm sure this subject has been covered before but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. So I picked up a 94 integra Ls 5 speed and I found a good deal on a low mileage jdm gsr motor. I'm new to Honda but I've done many other type of swaps. So I'm going to put the Ls trans on the gsr motor until I can either find a low mileage gsr trans or rebuild the current Ls trans. So as for clutch, should I go with oem or stage q clutch for this? This will be my daily driver and I have no plans on boosting or anything. The only mods I have are short ram air, skunk2 exhaust mani and that's about it. I'm about to start on the swap in a week and I need to figure out the best clutch for this particular setup. Thanks again!!!

I'm running a GSR motor with LS trans and I'm just using the Exedy OEM setup. I only use this car for highway cruising and occasional daily driving, no racing of any sorts. Seems to work just fine.

You don't need an upgraded clutch for a stock motor. Clutches are rated for torque capacity, so unless you're over that threshold, you don't need to upgrade.
OEM replacement will be fine.

Thanks guys. The only reason I ask is because someone told me that the gsr will put out more torque than the Ls trans is rated at so that's why I was just checking. Can I just search for exedy oem replacement clutch on like eBay or something of the sort? Thanks again for the help.

The Exedy OEM kit seems to be the same for LS/GSR and only has a separate part for the ITR. I bought mine from Rockauto, and I used KHC12 for 00-01 Integras but KHC05 seems to be pretty much the same thing (94-99 Integras). See https://honda-tech.com/forums/acura-...2952713/page2/ for more specifics.

Re: what clutch should I get with my gsr motor with Ls trans?
so this car will be my dd but I would still like to enjoy what it has performance wise. I currently drive a gutless 97 Kia Sephia automatic dohc so this is going to be a very nice upgrade from my current car. I don't intend on raceing or anything like that but I would like to open it up occasionally to enjoy the gsr and vtec. But I can't say that if someone wants to try and race me I wouldn't turn it down. I am a commercial driver and tickets is not a good thing if I want to keep my cdl, but I want to have some fun with the car. So I guess what I'm asking in a round about way is, will the oem be able to handle the type of driving I just explained?

Exedy is just fine. Go to Gearspeed, Amazon, etc. Stage 1 is part number 08800B.
