I'll tell you this. I have a spare P28 that I use for chip testing (since I chip ECUs with OE JDM race programs - not custom proggys) and I tried out a JUN N1 program, Mugen N1 program, Skunk2 race program, Vision race program, and MINEs N1 program in a P28 - NONE felt as good as a Spoon chipped P13 does. With any program in the P28, it just lacked the low end power and sucked to drive around with. In VTEC, it pulled nicely but you have to realize that a stock JDM H22's power peaks out at around 7200 rpms so VTEC engaging late like 5500-6000 rpms really doesn't give much time for power up there, even when racing. With a Spoon program in a JDM P13 (won't work in a US P13 - I have another program that I'm currently testing out on US P13s), it has a lot of low end torque and pulls very strong in VTEC (5000 rpm engagement).

My advice, try and find a P13 and chip that. When you try the two side-by-side, you'll see why. Otherwise, if you want to keep your P28, use a Mugen or Skunk2 program (same thing - they seem to pull the best).

I have both but my motor is wired for a gsr ecu. I dont have some stuff hooked up for my p13 ecu so it boggs when I give it some gas at low rpms. But vtec is real strong. I can find a chip for my p13 I will wire the rest up. I've used my friends mugen chipped p28 and it feels pretty strong. I just want to know if there are any better ones. And where can I get a chip for my p13?

Thanks,
Travis

P28 won't open the intake runners, thats why it ran like poo-poo. GSR ecu will though.

eg6ajk,

I have a JDM h22a in my car, and was wondering how the spoon program would benefit my car? Also, what is the process it takes for me to chip them myself (Via your DIY kit)? must i soldier in the chip? if so, i think it would b ebetter to send it off.
thanks

Dunno about a "DIY" kit but I give all of that **** out. Anyways, ALL chips need to be soldered into an ECU. I just threw a socket in mine so I could swap between programs.

The Spoon program (ONLY works on JDM P13 ECUs, will not work on US P13 ECUs - I have a chip for that) dumps more fuel and adds more power, drops VTEC to 5000 and pulls very hard in VTEC. I recommend it... a little better than the MINE's P13 program that I have, but that's also better than stock. FYI, the MINE's P13 program actually pulls harder in VTEC than the Spoon P13 program.

I sell actual JDM N1 programs cheap. Email me for prices (comes with full set of instructions & everything needed to install).

Would the spoon program be any beneficial for me since I am using a VAFC for my JDM p13 already?
