what about a gsr motor
hey everyone i know that i have a miata, its a fun car i want to make it faster. is there a good honda motor that would fit in the car, say for instance a gsr with a rear wheel wheel drive tranny. just wondering.

get a turbo 13B rotary (from a 2nd gen rx7). they make around 200HP with stock boost. they can handle 400HP before needing to upgrade internals (rotors, stationary gear, apex seals, etc). the 13B was also designed for a traditional rear wheel tranny.

as for buying the motors themselves, check out thepartstrader.com. i think you will find a 13B to give you far more bang for your buck than an equivalently priced piston engine. rotaries are also a lot simpler mechanically. the motor itself only 7 independently moving parts (or something like that).
