Default Want to Hybrid HF

If this was posted already please direct me to it. I have a 90 HF crx and I cannot afford the wonderful B16a. Is it possible to take my hf block and put on a DX head, Si intake manifold, ECU, Tranny and make my engine faster for less than 500 bucks.
Here is the site where I got this all from
http://www.hondaswap.com/articles/viewer.php?id=52
I really want to do this, but I don't want to waist my time, if it will not work.
Does any one have any suggestions about this?
Thanks

i suggest you save up for a b16.. but that might be a while.. u need axels and mounts plus engine and tranny to get it running... i've heard of the mini-me d series which i believe is like an LSvtec.. which should make ur dseries more fun to drive.. try searching for that.. but in my opinion you have way more options with a b16..

Hate to break it to you but the HF motor (D15B6) has only two valves & valve reliefs per piston (Valve Relief = small cresent moon type cutout)... while the DX and Si have 4 valves & reliefs per piston. If you put a DX/Si (16 valve) head onto a HF block (8 valve) you are at high risk if not garrenteed (sp?) to bend valves and destroy the head.

If you don't believe me, look around the internet (ebay, other honda sites, google) and find pics of a HF piston and DX/Si piston.

If your looking to save some money and have something thats quicker. Look into getting a D16a1 Si motor. You can find one around fairly cheap and you can keep the same hubs, axles , wiring etc..
