yeah, i was there to dyno once. I don't think he ever comes on this board. He's at NED a lot though.

What did he buy from him and if you don't mind what did he pay?

He seems to have a shitload of stock parts sitting around which is good.

I didn't agree with some of the stuff he was saying but he knows his stuff. Seems like he enjoys bragging about hp output and how many rpm's his engines can spin. Whatever.

well my buddy bought a GSR from him, with a B18C5 in it...salvage title...it seems a little sketchy, my buddy said it had 4 lug...which is weird...the whole thing doesn't make sense..I'm gonna see the car today, and hopefully that'll answer some questions.

well, GSR's are 4 lugs. Don't know why that's weird. You don't need to change to a 5 lug just for the B18c5. If it's a salvage title i hope he's getting a good deal.

I know GS-R's are 4 lug, but I figured it'd be more than just motor swap...so that means it's probably gsr tranny too? I guess I just assumed it'd be Type R tranny, axles, susp, etc...what ecu would have to be used?

I dunno. No need to do the Type R susp. on a GSR really. Axles are the same. Brakes and susp. aren't that much bigger/better and there are cheaper ways to go for better results.

If it's got a B18c5 it probably has the ITR tranny.

I would think most people would just drop in the motor/tranny. Adding the rest would probably make the car too expensive, especially for a salvage. My guess is the car was stolen and the engine was snagged so he dropped in a b18c5 (dunno why, i would think it would be hard to sell for what it would be worth).

As for ecu you could use any number of them. Depends if the car is obd1 or not. You could use p28/p30/p72. Doesn't matter really.

well I just rode/drove the infamous green Type R....I'm not sure what to say..doesn't feel very fast, sounds like ****!!!(crazy ticking from motor, **** says it's from header leaking at head..Greddy exhaust sounds like ****), the ECU says J-spec Type R on it..redline is at 9k. It's got stickers and gold Acura emblems, etc...I'm sad about this car. very sad.
