VX to B16 o2 wiring dilema
Have 92 VX (not cali four wire model) with the seven wire o2
93 EDM B16A2,with a four wire,duh.
I am using the VX harness,have adress the other plug issues.But I need to know how to wire these two together to get rid of CEL 41
The VX has seven wires in the o2
1) WHT
2) GRN/WHT
3) BLK (1)
4) YEL/BLK
5) ORN
6) ORN/BLU
7) WHT/BLU
8)--------
B16A(3) has four
1) GRN
2) WHT
3) BLK
4) BLK

Re: VX to B16 o2 wiring dilema (92b16vx)
The VX 02 is a wideband 02 sensor. You need to convert over to a 4 wire or whatever your B16 is, unless your getting a standalone and something that can read and convert the 02 voltage....

Re: (92b16vx)
Converting is very simple. Just make sure the proper wires match up. Here is some more info on the O2 sensor:
- WHT/RED wire goes to D14 which is O2 Sensor Input
- ORG/BLK wire goes to A6, which is Heater Control
- GRN/WHT wire goes to D22 which is Sensor Ground
- YEL/BLK wire goes to B1 or A25 which is Sensor voltage
- WHT/RED wire goes to D14 which is O2 Sensor Input
- ORG/BLK wire goes to A6, which is Heater Control
- GRN/WHT wire goes to D22 which is Sensor Ground
- YEL/BLK wire goes to B1 or A25 which is Sensor voltage

Re: VX to B16 o2 wiring dilema (92b16vx)
I figured this wiring out for someone before that reused their stock VX harness. All the wires are there's its just a matter of unpinning the VX engine side plug and repinning it with a 4 wire O2 plug. Then you'll obviously need to use the standard 4 wire O2 sensor.
I have a 92 VX with 99 B18C1 but I used the 99 GSR engine harness. By doing this you only have to repin 1 wire at the passenger side shock tower for the O2 wiring to be correct.

The only problem with this is that my o2 has two blacks a solid green and a white.I am going to extend the wires from the o2 to the plug,then hard wire the four to that.I am guessing they will be....
GRN---->GRN/WHT
WHT---->ORG/BLU or WHT/BLU (VX harness doesn't have WHT/RED)

Re: (nextelbuddy)
I was going to,but I have an extension harness already and it will be easier to wire it in the bay,if something needs to be changed around.

It's ok to do that also but it's much easier to make use of the wires that are already embedded in the chassis and engine harness.
