VTEC Problems. Knock Sensor Help. JDM B16 Sec. Gen into 93 Si Hatch
Completed my swap about 3000 miles ago, everything seemed to be working, but actually VTEC is retarding the timing when it kicks in. Every once in a while it will kick the check engine light on, but it goes off when I shut the car off. jumped the ecu and didn't get any codes. 2nd and 3rd gear don't sound as bad as 4th and 5th when I hit VTEC. I actually lose power in 4th and 5th when I hit VTEC. How did everyone wire their knock sensor into the ECU? I tried to make my own pin to fit, but I think that may be my problem. Its like its not making a good connection. I thought I fixed the problem by resetting my ECU and it does seem to work for a while when resetting the ECU, but then it goes right back to acting up after I hit VTEC and get the check engine light for the first time. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Rewired my KS with 16 guage wire and a different connector in my ECU. This got rid of my CEL coming on. But I am still loosing power in 3rd, 4th, and a little in 5th while in VTEC. Anyone got any ideas? Should I adjust my timing maybe??
