Some shop out East (I think east) did a NSX V6 into a CRX. (called the CR-NS-X I think)
They simply put the engine in the back, making it a mid/rear wheel drive car.
Expensive. Time consuming.
And why?

ya, madavi did the crnsx. they are about 20 mins from my house. why you ask? cause first run at the track on a bone stock nsx engine pulled 11.6. that was the first run! some tuning, tweeking and upgrading, and the possibilties are endless.

So, CRX is not a good deal. What about a civic? Hatch? And a NXS motor is gonna be a heck of a lot more than my v-8's.
And the comment of "Dude, shut up. You're not going to do it. If you were going to do you'd have more information about it before even thinking about it. Please... go away!"
Eat me. I came here asking for more information. I don't need little kids talking crap. I just asked for some help, not some teenagers opinion

So, calm down, it will be OK.
And as far as making a FWD car into a RWD, with a V8, do you really have $15-20,000 to spend?
First, you have to strengthen the unibody a LOT, as in tying the two subframes together.
You have to make a new front suspension that will handle the weight of a V8.
New engine cradle, as none of the Civic mounts wil even remotely come close to working.
YOu will have to make a new tranny tunnel for a RWD tranny.
You will have to fabricate a new rear suspension for a new axle. That new axle will have to be cut down to be the right width of the Civic.
You will have to have new shocks, springs, etc made custom for the suspension.
YOu will have to strenghten the suspension mounting points on all 4 corners.
Stock Civic guages will not work, so you'll have to rig some aftermarket or other guages to work.
Wiring harness will not work, so you'll have to use a V8 one.
Fuel tank will have to be moved to accomidate the RWD axle.
You will have to buy the V8. $2-10,000 depending on quality of the engine build. Or, go junkyard for $500+.
Wiring harnes and engine management for that engine.
Plus, lots of little things that all add up to BIG $$$.
Plus, the car would be so front-heavy that it would handle like TOTAL ****. So just straight-line driving for you.
You would be better off to build a tube-chassis car and put a Civic body on it. Or, with $20,000 just buy an NSX, Supra, Fairlady Z, Camaro Z28, Ford Mustang Cobra, etc. That will have RWD and be a V6/V8.
And that is why you see no V8 RWD Civics. Unless they are a full tube drag/race car.
It can be done, but there is no way in hell that you could touch it for under $15,000. More like $25,000+. Easy.
