Usdm vs. jdm b18c question
ok..my gsr is coming out and im looking to get a b18 type r and i dont know which one to get. Usdm -10.6 compression 195 hp. Jdm -11.1 compression 200 hp. I hear that the jdm version does have a oil pressure something or rather, and the Usdm does? And what year should i get 96-97 or 98+, any major diff.
Any positive input would be appre.

Re: Usdm vs. jdm b18c question (5ltreater)
Get the 98 + if you go JDM.(mine is a 98) If you need to pass smog (or something similiar) go with US.
the JDM 98 + has tubular header instead of cast manifold and has 4.785 FD instead of 4.4. Those could cost the better part of 1K if you want to add them later.
As fas as the US motors go, i THINK 97 and 98 are about the same and the 2000 and 01's have different cams - but i don't know the specifics.
