Yesterday, I took the EG out for it's first drive with the JDM B18C. It ran fine with only a code 21 which I fixed thanks to the ever so great search function. After I cleaned/reinstalled the VTEC spool valve, I started it up to make sure there were no oil leaks and everything seemed fine. When I got in the car, I turned it off and unplugged the ECU to clear the code then plugged it back in. I now tried to start it and nothing happened. It cranked and cranked but wouldn't fire. I took the plugs out and made sure the engine was turning over and fuel was being delivered, but still no spark. Then I took the distributor apart and made sure the brand new cap and rotor were fine in which they were. The rotor turned, but does not spark.

Here's a few things I did already:
-Took all the grounds off and dremeled off the paint for a good connection
-Checked fuses
-Swapped ECUs
-Tried new plugs
-Made sure everything was plugged in

Could it be the coil went bad in the the 15 seconds when I unplugged the ECU and plugged it back in?

Its possible the coil went bad, but unlikely. Did you mess with the dizzy or plug wires while fixing the code? Are all the plugs to the ecu connected? Is your main relay clicking? Is the firing order right?(1342)

I didn't touch the dizzy or plugs at all prior to this happening. All of the plugs to the ECU are connected. I don't hear any clicking and the firing order is correct. I was working 100% fine, I unplugged the ecu then plugged it back in and then this happened.

So you dont hear the main relay? When you turn the key to the on position right before turning the engine over you should hear your fuel pump send fuel and then a click at the end, if you dont hear this then your relay could be bad, you blew a fuse or your ecu isnt plugged in all the way. Is the green plug down by the ECU plugged into the other green plug? This happened to a friend of mine.

Yes, I do hear the pump prime and make all the regular noises it should. Green plug....I didn't unplug any plugs besides the ecu, so if I didn't have this plugged in to begin with would it have still let me start the car before?

I searched and people said they've had problems with the ignitor coil. I took it off and it appears to not have any physical damage, but I'll try to swap it out with another.
