Typical cost for GSR Swap into a 92 Hatch?
I can get my hands on a 92 hatch for 1 grand and want to do a whole GSR swap into it. Was wondering round about price including motor, tranny, ecu and all other goodies and labor. Thanks

Ok I actually just did a search and someone said about 3,000 for motor, ETC and about 600 for labor? Is that about right?

I know here in CA, the going price for a complete GSR changeover is in the range of 3500-3900. Yes, it is highly overpriced...but it is a motor in demand. Labor....i've seen places for 400....while others with great reputations as much as 800-1000.

Try http://www.importautosalvage.com in Marion, NC. I got my complete GSR swap package there. 2000 B18C1 with 9K miles. It came with everything that bolts on to the engine incl. axles, downpipe, cat, alt, starter, and even a set of lugnuts for some reason. All legit with papers too. Talk to Larry Hollifield Jr., he knows what he's doing. Good luck. labor around my way runs about a grand too. Buy a helms, an engine lift, some tools and time.

$4,000 installed. I would recommend to actual drive the car you will be getting the motor from. That way you know it's in good shape and it isn't a pieced together swap.
