turbo j swap ek past and present
so some of you might remember this car a few years back when it graced the cover of HONDA TUNING magazine.
Well ive done a few changes over the years thought id share
changed it up in 2011
and heres a little teaser of how she sits now.
it used to be my DD 4-5 years ago now its just a dedicated track car.
cant wait for next season to bring her back out and have some fun.
more pics to come as sson as the exospeed front end comes in

I liked the original iteration , minus the top fuel banner. Im a purist in that if it's a 96 then I'll leave it a 96.
Nice color choice though. Btw,
What's your best timeslip in n/a form? Curious.

I completely agree with cetcivic, except I actually thought the banner was ok (I normally wouldn't).
The original iteration had something, a special quality about it that in my mind still makes it stand out as the most perfect EK hatch I've seen.
Now it looks kind of sold out, as many are rockin' the chargespeed lip and 99-00 facelift these days. The color choice is spot on though, and the fact that it's a sick J swap will always make it an awesome car.

99-00 front is so much nicer. I wouldnt own an ek if Honda had never changed it around for 99-00 with the front, rear, and climate setup.
Nice car man, J swaps are beast.

Re: turbo j swap ek past and present
don't have any pics of the SC setup most of the pics were lost when my last comp crashed
there's still a few pieces im waiting for before getting the current setup tuned
im aiming for the 500whp mark but this is all new territory for me so only time will tell
got my 3 piece front end ordered up, custom weld wheels ordered up, tucktech harness on its way .....new suspension is in along with my new street tires and MT slicks
my plan is to run this motor until it pops and in the mean time i have a spare j30 motor im building using a j35 crank so it should stroke it out to a 3.3l. That motor should be good for a reliable 700whp
for now i just plan on running this setup but once the new motor is built ill be selling the gt35r and upgrading to the gt40
