Default Tips after AFC install on n/a car... base settings ?

I am installing a VAFC this weekend... after the wiring... anyone gots any tips before start up ?

I will be reading the manual thoughrougly and don't want to run into any glitches (ie: car can't start... or car go bOOm). I will have it dyno tuned for a good a/f at the end of the month, but until then... any tips on settings or will she just purr like a kitten at the 0 settings ?

Well at 0 settings it wont do anything to the car so it should run like stock. With just an intake and header you might need a little more fuel but the only way to determine how much will be on the dyno. You can also set your VTEC engagment at the optimum point. If you really want the best point to set it at set your VTEC to engage at 7000 do one dyno run, then set your VTEC to engage at 2000 and do another run. Where the two lines intersect is where the first cam is exhausted and the second profile is actually making greater power.

Yeah, I was planning to do something like that on the dyno for the vtec x-o. I also want to do the same with the dual runner closed and opened to see where the power comes in.

So all 0 settings mean stock (makes sense). What about the setup procedures in the manual ? Follow them to a tee ?

I just installed my vafc today. At 0, everything was fine but the throttle was a bit jumpy. Just play with it a bit. i added a little bit at the idle, and up top (5-6k) i leaned it out a bit. It should run fine though at 0, although it def doesnt feel like stock. After driving around for the afternoon and playing with the settings, it feels great, better than stock
