Default Thoughts on ZC swap into a '90 CRX HF...

My dad has a '90 CRX HF and wants more power. LOL! He's driven my R and B18C1 CX hybrid and is hooked. hehe.

Anyway, there's a guy locally (an hour away) that is selling his ZC swap because he wants to go to the B16A. He wants $800 for the swap minuse ECU and axles. The engine has been rebuilt and has an Airmass header. Not sure if this is a good deal or not. Can someone shed some light on the ZC for me. What ECU & axles would I need for the HF? Will the wiring harness work??

Thanks,
Todd

Make sure you get a Si trans (for the gear ratio) and 89 teg ecu.

Your dad's new tag FUCASI

HF outer joints are smaller then any other honda(88-91 civic h-back std 4spd. shared the same axles), therefore, stick with a USDM Si tranny, so that you can reuse the axles, otherwise you will need to upgrade to Si or DX knuckles/brakes, even better get EX (90-1 sedan) knuckles which are 10.3" not 9.5" as other civics....

90-3 teg axles are only for ZC tranny which uses a half shaft....unless its a hybrid 4.25 FDR ZC tranny go for it....but Si tranny is quicker in the quater mile....
