talk me into h2b please
i've been reading up a lot on the h/f2b swaps. currently i have an h22a in my 97 civic. but i windowed the blocked and my m2b4 has no reverse and grinds into 5th gear. also when cornering hard i get a load of steering vibration and wobble. it does this when i hit dips in the road too. When sitting in my car at idle it feels like i'm riding a lawn mower. and i've been through 3 sets of shifter cables. its hard to find good junk yard cables.
can/will the h2b setup cure my vibration issues? if so, it make it all worth it to me. i will have to go and cut out a junk yard car's shifter section to weld in being that mine is cut out now.
in reading up on the h2b stuff most of the time its in eg chassis not ek's. do i still have to beat, bang or notch the frame rail to run my power steering? or is that a eg thing? i don't mind if i do, i will just cut out the frame rail where needed and weld it up instead of beating the hell out of it. also from what i gather the ek hood will still close with the h2b. is this correct?
thank you guys, i know there are a ton of threads and i'm reading them as i go. they are very very long winded and some of the stuff is just general chit chat.

1. Yes, it should cure your vibration issues in your drivetrain, since there will be no axle bind and will just be like a b series; transmission wise. But regardless your gonna have vibration with aftermarket mounts.
2.If your keeping power steering, you will definitely need to cut the frame or do the 00-05 MR-S EHPS Conversion; has a control module. The 92-95 MR-2 EHPS conversion has to be on all the time or wired to a switch. The EK's hood will close with the H2B.

well, i think mine are just really hard rubber. i mean, i can't even see out my rearview mirror at idle. will the qsd you can use most of the factory mounts correct?
i'm likeing this 00-05 MR-S EHPS conversion. looks like and awesome idea. thank you.

Re: talk me into h2b please
maybe i'll just do like i had before and fill them with window urathane (sp). or get the softer full fill mounts. the write up i just went through and read, the guy didn't use the front lower trans mount. is that just something he chose to do? its a hella old thread or i would ask.

If your running hasport or innovative mounts, its not needed. But I would still run it regardless, since mounts will deteriote over time.
