Make sure your VSS is hooked up. It's the sensor on the top of the tranny. Make sure all your connectors are plugged together around your ECU.

all that has been checked and double checked. Is there something in the body harness thats different between the cx and ex that may cause this? any one experience this?

Nothing with the headswap should of mess with your anything with your cluster. I'd say whoever did your headswap should be punched in the face and if you did it than smack yourself in the back of the head cause what the heck did you do to mess up your tach? Did you use the p28 ecu and matching dizzy? I dunno what to tell you dude but maybe swap out the old VSS and try a different one?

I did the swap. I tried a different vss. The only thing I can think of might be a difference in the body harness, cuz I did notice the cx only has one plug for the body harness but the ex had 2 plugs into the ecu. I did use the ex ecu and harness. I just dont understand how everything on the cluster works except the tach and speedo.
