Tach problem with type r ecu in 99 si em1.
Hey guys. I'm having a little problem with my 99 si and the search button didn't come up with anything useful. The problem is that i recently bought a 97 JDM ITR ecu with a obd2b-obd2a conversion harness to run my JDM ITR motor and for some reason the tach doesn't work. The car drives fine, vtec engages but the tach just doesn't move at all. I put my SI ecu back in and everything works just fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

So what exactly would i have to do? Take a wire from the ICM (igniter) and run it to pin A19? Or straight to the tach? If so, where on the tach? Is the icm wire the blue wire that comes out of the distributor but is empty on the harness? Thanks

Yes, generally it's the Blu wire coming from the distributor. I'd depin A19 and connect this Blu wire to it.
