Swaping ITR into my 99 civic si, HELP PLEASE!
ok here is the deal. i blew my motor on a turbo and i have a buyer so i want to swap a new motor in for like 4500 from the H dealer. i checked it out and its good to go!
now i need an ecu and wondering if this really is just a plug play deal. can you guys share all your knolege on this subject please!

It depends what year motor you swap in. I am assuming it is an 01. The 01 ECUs contain an anti theft device so it cannot be used with another car. However there are people that know how to override that function. I don't know if that would be a problem with an ECU from the factory or not... Anyway an 00-01 ITR ECU plugs right into the 99 Si harness.

everything else should be plug and play. except for the iat sensor. si's have it on the intake arm. itr's have it on the intake manifold. you can use your stock airbox and leave the one on the manifold unplugged. but your are good to go. and please dont turbo that motor.
