Swap Shops in PA Area?

Re: Swap Shops in PA Area? (AcuraTypeR)
Yeah, a mechanic for 15 years would definitely be able to figure out the swap. I did my b16 swap myself, with about 1 year of experience. Do you have any friends that are pretty good with cars and some extra time? It would be much cheaper to do it yourself.
You could go to impo, but they are very expensive.
There is SKR performance, GTM or something like that, umm.. there is also some place in Trenton, NJ that could do swaps. I don't remember their name, but the owner had a 91 or so 4 dr. with a ZC in it.

Meyer's Automotive in Pottstown specializes in it. Burke is a Honda gold certified mechanic, and he does swaps like that just about every week. The number is 610 469-8933.

I can also vouch for burke. I had a another shop do my swap and they screwed it up. Talked to burke and he really amazed me with his knowledge. Took my car to him and he fixed what he could and gave me a few choice on how to get everything working right. He is also reasonable with prices, worked on my car for around 6+ hours but only charged me for 3.

sorry. yeah you should do the swap yourself, it would be fun. slaving in your garage for hours, havin your friends make runs to napa for you, it would be a grand ole time. anyway, youll save yourself so much money doing it yourself, and probably so much time. especially if you do it instead of impo. impo's crap.

I went there one time just to get a quote for fun. They wanted to charge 4800 to do the swap. I could barely keep a straight face while he was making the price sheet.
That price was for a b16 though. I can't even imagine a b18c5. 8-10k????

I just called Meyer's Automotive...they quoted me $1200 + fluids for a B18C-5 into an EG. Is this a good price?

For around this area that sounds about right. I paid 900 for mine, but I pulled engine out myself. Also their is more work to put an obd 2 engine in an obd 1 car.(If I am not mistaken.) That price may be less, because lauren(his wife/ secretary) usually gives a higher estimate, then burke usually drops a couple bucks off.
