Swap Questions/problems part 1
Ok it begins. this is a couple general things i have run into before ive even started to begin the actual process of swapping motors. here
What are these wires? are they just grounds that plug into THIS harness? (cut/solder)
the location of that is driver side near the firewall.
Onto the next problem.
THIS DAMN CONNECTOR!
#1 we have no idea what it is #2 what is it for?
it is located directly above the doohickey that the shift linkage connects to, forgive me i dont know the correct term. the problem with it is that we cannot get it to plug back into the tranny. TIA

The one on the tranny is the VSS. There are white plastic inserts inside the connectors. The white inserts are removable so you can remove the pins from the connector. It is possible one of these white inserts got messed up somehow and is interfering with the joining of the two. Try removing the white inserts with a pair of needlenose pliers. It will not ruin the connector by deleting the insert. It is perfectly safe to run the connector without them. Those chopped wires are for varios things like gauge sending units, tachometer, and etc. I recommend you obtain a 1992-1995 Helms(Available at Dealer or Helms.com) and carefully reconnect all of them to their proper connector pinouts. You can also get away with using a 1998 Integra Helms Manual if you want; however, there will be slight differences in the wiring, but nothing critical enough to cause malfunctions with the car. Anymore problems let me know. Hope this helps.

ok the vss is solved.
those wires are on the opposite side of my engine bay as the harness that runs to the ecu. thats why im asking. the majority of the wires are yellow with a black stripe.
