Swap Mileage?
K, I know its' really not an important subject to most people, but what kind of gas mileage could I expect from a B18B1 in my 99 civic DX, Anyone out there have this swap? Or any B18? With a JRSC I can expect the same mileage. According to JR of course. And ABOUT the same HP/torque. I'd love the option of upgrading later but it's my daily driver. Meaning 30 miles/45 minutes to work every day then home again, So ya it's kinda important to me.

Re: Swap Mileage? (Tiamat-blue)
I have a 97 b18b in my 96 civic ex and I get about 30 miles per gallon with intake and exhuast but I have a tranny from a del sol vtec which the 5th gear is really low ratio so when I am going 70 I am at like 4k rpm which I bet eats up some gas. I am looking to change the 5th gear to an ls 5th gear or if anyone has any suggestions let me know Thanks

'92 CX with a B18b.
Intake and exhaust.
I was very consistently getting 34 MPG in the city.
very close to 40 MPG few times on the highway, but I usually cruised at about 85...so, I'm sure I could do even better if I was cruising at about 60-65

If you swapped in a complete B18B with tranny and run normal bolt-ons, you should get about the gas mileage that you get right now with your stock motor.
