Default Swap: LS+turbo or GSR?

My first post. I just found this site, and seems cool. Anyways, here's my situation guys. I have a 98 Civic EX coupe. I'm either looking at GSR or LS. WIth the gsr, i could go allmotor or FI...but the damn thing is...the engine+installation is expensive, being $4500-4900. Instead, an LS installed is $3100. WHut do you guys think? Couldn't I just get the LS...and with the money saved..turbo it and spanked a GSR? HELP ME!!! THanks.

If you find an absolute killer deal on a B18A/B, go for it. You can always go LS/VTEC down the road.

I have a friend who is selling a 98 LS motor complete changeover for $2,000 firm. He is thinking of going SOHC turbo. Let me know!

He is thinking of going SOHC turbo because he dosen't have the $3,000 to buy a kit ( he is a broke bastard ). He told me he would give me $1,000 for my complete 1.6 vtec changeover including my complete turbo setup ( the car is running 13's ) and his engine. Since I want $3,000 for my setup I must sell the LS changeover for $2,000 firm.

The LS changeover is coming out of a 98 integra w/ 42,000 miles. The engine is super clean and has never been moded. It will come with everything. Let me know if interested so we can get the ball rolling. He is the original owner of the car also. Totally legit... If you go to our website and download the video of the Integra and the MR2 racing you will see the car the engine is coming out of. Stock LS... http://www.teamneusion.com/footage.asp

Thanks for the offer, but i decided to go with a gsr swap. I know the LS is a good engine...can turbo it/or go ls/vtec...but i was advised to just go with the gsr. It'll be less complicated to get good power, and easier to maintain (based on my budget). THanks anyhow.

Good idea...That's exactly what I went with. It is tempting to go w/ the LS because of the price...but you have to spluge alittle and get want you want.

GSR baby.... Turbo that mug and run 12's
