Swap Help....Questions
Ok, I've been working on my car...while I wait for my motor.
Here's my problems:
Could someone explain the technique of tapping the linkage out?
It's not coming out...do I just tap it or do something to it first?
Also, I still can't get the Right Axles nut off...Should a 750ft\lb Impact do it?
I used a breaker w\ Pipe...Everything
Also, How can I remove the AC System without getting Freon in my face...this is on a 93 HB.
Thanks,
Suprdave

Re: Swap Help....Questions (Suprdave)
Q #
1-- There should be a metal clip that holds your linkage pin in that wraps around it....remove that and take a skinny punch and......punch
2-- It helps if you use a 6' breaker bar and make sure your car is level(not slammed if you leave the wheels on while removing the nut) and make sure the nut is not dented into the notch of the axle.
3-- Just unscrew the metal lines and let'er rip.....that's what me friend did to mine and he's still got some hair left.

Re: Swap Help....Questions (jbsadler)
jbsadlers answers to # 1 and 2 were spot on. As for Q #3, just unbolt the compressor and hang it out of the way (if you intend to retain the AC system) if not, a sharp knife will do the trick but it's not too environmentally friendly. Take it to a shop.
BTW, i took my car to a local gas station and had them loosen my wheel nuts prior to my swap. They didn't want to do it at first thinking my wheels would fall off on the way home but i begged and pleaded and finally just had them take them off, put a little WD40 on them and torque them back to 130 lbs. They came off with my breaker bar no problem after that.
