Swap help, d16z6 into a 94 DX Coupe
I've been told that this swap isn't very hard. I've also been researching a bit and been reading some threads that say I either need to convert to OBD-I wiring or get a VTEC controller. I just have a few questions about this:
Will the d16z6 motor mount directly to the mounts in my engine bay? And what is OBD-I? And is which is better, converting to OBD-I or getting a VTEC controller? Do you think a dumbass like me could perform this swap with simple tools?

The swap goes right in and should take you no longer than 2 days, that's if you take your time.
Only thing you will need to wire up is VTEC, everything else will clip right in and being you are swapping a D16Z6 (OBD1 motor) into a 94 DX (which is also OBD1), no extra wiring is necessary unless you are using an OBD2 ECU.
If you are using a P28 (which is the Z6 stock computer), the harness will go right in and no extra wiring necessary other than VTEC wiring.
As for putting the motor in, it should be beyond cake, and will drop right in.
For wiring VTEC:
add wire to VTEC oil pressure sensor for ground (tap into Grn/Wht wire) and ECU Signal -- D6 pin-out on ECU
VTEC solenoid valve to ECU -- A4 pin-out on ECU
Here is a diagram if the pin-outs so you know whre to put in the wires.
