Swap arrived with bag of bolts and stuff...... 56k grab a pillow!
I had no idea that a bag of bolts and misc. things would come with the swap. I didn't think many would be required since the motor drops right in. But, as you can see I have a bag of bolts and other things. I haven't opened the bag yet since I have to get out to work in a few.
I was thinking bolts for the engine mounts, maybe some parts for the shift linkage, and I have a whole bag.
Is this really complicated to find where all these bolts go?
When I get home tonight I'll post pics of all of them laid out. Looking through the bag I believe they threw in the suspension bolts, but I could be wrong.....
Here are some pics of the bolts and $hit laid out.
I believe in the pic below #7 are the suspension bolts:
#8 look like the 2 spring bolts that hold my axle back in place to the rest of the piping:
#1 below are the castle nuts that hold the upper control arm in place Done a camber kit install before
What are those 16 shiny things in the bottom right corner
Thanks for any info. If you need closer pics of certain bolts and measurements let me know and I'll post it up. I have the feeling that I don't need a lot of these extras

see, when you do so many swaps in your life, you know where every bolt goes just by looking at it.

I see some tranny bolts through the bag... is your tranny already bolted up to the block or did they ship it loose?

They all look like the larger size 17mm bolts for motor mounts, tranny, etc. It's always good to have a few extras, not to metion a sack full

Re: Bump for the new pics up top! (Hybrid93Hatch)
Maybe I've just got a sick sense of humor, but I had to laugh.
It looks like the guy that pulled the engine and transmission just threw everything into a bag for you. If suspension bolts just happened to be laying around, they got thrown in also.
Just use what you need and then put the spare ones in a box in case you may need them for something latter.
Just to show how sick some people are; If I was doing the engine pull and knew it would cause this much confusion, I'd have thrown in a couple bolts from my old Chevelle in there.

#7 look like the bolts that go through the control arms. Only ones on the engine with cones that I can think of off hand are the colts that hold the compressor in place, but they're longer and thinner.
Then of course we all know where the castle nuts go.
The bolts with the springs on them are deff for the cat. converter.
a LOT of those don't even go with the engine!

omg where did you get the swap?
they gave you EVERY BOLT you will touch to do the swap!
LCA bolts, castle nuts, springed bolts for the header to cat, transmission mount bolts shift linkage pin and washers jesus even simple mounting bolts.
wow thats the most complete swap ive ever seen.
and those 16 shiny bolts, are they about 1.5 inches high and 19mm? if so they are lug nuts.
and it saddens me that i can almost tell exactally where each bolt goes... *sigh* im glad i dont own a honda anymore.

it looks like every type of bolt/ nut that the civics use.....you wont need them for an engine swap....maybe the exaust bolts for the cat?
you already have an engine in it right?

That bag of bolts are off the car when they took the motor out. don't worry bout it. just use them for spares if needed.
