Default Swap for 87 Si

I would like an opinion for a swap for my 87 CRX si. I understand that he zc motor swap is very easy and straight forward and also very cheap. I am also interested in swapping a first gen B16a using the hasport motor mount kit. I was wondering if anyone has done this swap. I am looking for any kind of feedback, such as total cost of doing the B series swap and an problems you may have run into.
Thanks

I've seen a 1st gen crx with a b16a swap with a drag 3 turbo kit low 12's with slicks and 9.5psi... He said if he was running a Hondata stand alone he could fine tune it and do at least 16psi and run in the low 11's possibly high 10's... I dunno if thats true or not cause i am not to into the hole turbo thing... but good luck with your project
How did your friends swap go as far as set backs and of course COST? I know the price of the swap alone is gonna cost me around 1200. Then there is the motor mount kit from Hasport. Did your friend use the Hasport axles and ecu conversions to did he use something else?

sport compact car did that swap a couple months ago. The web site should have it on in technical or something. If not, find a friend who has it. Its pretty good, just make sure to also use a manual for torque specs. And don't expect to keep A/C.

Yeah I have that issue and if I were to do that swap it would'nt be a problem other than machining the hubs like it says on the hybrid website. I need more info on the B series swap. From what i understand it is a big pain in the *** but if done right would make for a very quick 3rd gen civic.

that girl with CDE ran a STOCK b16a in an 87 CRX which weighed ~ 1850 with her in it and got a 12.7 @ MIR. that crap will roll.....

HASport mounts new are really crazy price like 600+ but there may be a group buy or something to bring it down.

dont forget that the b series mounts will do everything from ls to b20 with b16a head, etc. so lots of possibilities. i am going crvtec into 87 CRX Si...

Sport Compact had the B16 swap into an 86 CRX in December of 2001 I believe.

As for machining hubs like the hybrid page says, don't do it, it is not necessary. Just bolt the 86-89 Integra knuckles and hubs into place.
