Default Stock pistons & rods VS. Eagle & JE?

As some of you may know, I am kinda planning/thinking about ls/vtec. Right now I am kinda stuck on weather I should you stock pistons and rods or aftermarket. I will be running a modified block girdle and balence crank.

Stock stuff:
CTR pistons w/rings: $330
LS rods: $25 (from a frind)
APR rod bolts: $50

Aftermarket:
JE pistons w/rings: $550
Eagle Rods: $325

The stock stuff will cost $405, and the aftermarket stuff will cost $875. Is the extra $470 worth it on ls/vtec? Will it make it any more durable, or produce more power, or last longer?
