start up...should i be concerned
ok, this is for everyone who has done a swap before. i will finally be able to start (TRY TO START) the car tomorrow after a week of doing the swap.........
anyway, just curious what's going to happen (besides the obvious "i hope" it starts right up!! [to everyone that wants to be a smartass ])
things maybe i should be concerned about........things to watch......
or should i stop being a ***** just start it!!!
thanks

Fuel spurting into the heavens from not tightening the bolt on the fuel rail/filter good enough, the smell of burnt wires, CEL's that light up the dashboard, I could go on for days........ getting scared yet?

Re: start up...should i be concerned (poison)
Also, try to have a friend help with this, because when I B18'rd my CRX, I had water spewing everywhere. I don't know why, I guess I just got anxious, and didn't put the spring clamps on it. be sure to watch around the throttle body, and around the intake manifold. Look behind the block, and at the firewall, where the heater core goes. Check your radiator hoses, and etc. while it is running. let it sit and run if there are no water leaks, until you get 2 fan cycles. after that, check for trouble codes. After you have worked all the trouble codes out, be sure to reset the ECU one last time. You should do this every time you are chasing a code. and work on the FIRST code first. Sometimes a code will cause a second one, so keep that in mind, and try to think like your car does. When you start doing that, you will be 'one of them' meaning the rest of us... HAHAHA keep it simple fun, and patient. Don't go ruining your engine swap, just cause you want to see how it feels. There is PLENTY of time for racing. Make sure ALL the details are taken care of. That helps in the long run, and promotes longevity.
