Sound like a bad knock sensor?
I could not decide whether to post this in the integra forum, or in this hybrid forum. MODs if this is wrong forgive me and could you help it find its way to the right place. Here we go
I swapped a 94 b18c1 into my 94 civic dx. Wired everything up using the p72, workes flawlessly, err kind of.
When driving down the highway (nice smooth highway such as the interstate or freeways) there is no CEL. Now when I hit a bumpy road, or sometimes even, although not quite often, when I hit vtec, the CEL will kick on. When I run the code it is 23, which of course is the knock sensor. Now I'm waiting on K@tman to chip my p28, so this issue will not be a big deal for long.
The motor makes NO abnormal NOISE at idle or wot or anything in between
Now when the CEL comes on, VTEC works and my IAB works, the car runs PERFECTLY.
I orginally thought it might be a roaming code, but then when doing a little testing (bumpy vs smooth streets) , I think it could be a bad knock sensor. What do you guys think?
Also, wouldn't vtec NOT work if the knock sensor code was thrown? Regardless? Thanks for all the help, sorry for long writeup.

hmm, that is odd, it still pulls like everything is fine. If I line up next to my bros b16a, I still pull him the same as I do w/ a chipped p28. I'll check this out. Thanks for info.
